Audio and Visual Andon System

Provide operation notification status real time with production data display.

Audio recordings and visual displays provide instant warnings by work station when support is needed.

Andon Module Description

Jidoka combines 3 elements consisting of complete production systems, error proofing and andon. Matrix Automation provides an Andon system to allow your team more time resolving issues and less time finding them. Operators can almost instantaneously enter a support request allowing corrective action to take place in process reducing scrap, minimizing downtime and other inefficiencies.

The ProductionWareª standard touch screen user interface allows operators a simple method to annunciate when support is needed. Maintenance, Materials, Quality and Supervisor are a few examples of support requests that can be entered and displayed on the video displays, LCD and Plasma monitors or custom Bingo Boards. The touch screen addresses the ease of use issue allowing operators to easily request support when it is needed. Using the touch screen adds no additional costs associated with hardware, itÕs integrated into ProductionWareª. Because it is integrated into the existing touch screen the need for traditional Andon operator panels is eliminated. These operator panels carry additional costs consisting of the hardware (call pushbuttons and enclosure), PLC I/O, installation material and labor and programming.

The type, quantity and size of displays utilized with your Andon system is variable and dependent on the layout of your operations. Production reporting, downtime reporting, line stop and end of work zone stops are all provided via visual displays and corresponding audio such as ÒStation 10 is at the end of work zoneÓ. This provides not only visual notification (Station 10 is Red) but audible notification as well.
