Paperless and Dynamic Work Instructions for the plant floor. Standardized Work provides the basis for eliminating process variation in the manufacture and assembly environment. Standardized Work Instructions allow processes to be completed in a consistent, timely and repeatable manner. Presenting work instructions that are useful to the operator increases efficiency, improves product quality and provides a more predictable work environment. ProductionWare records actual cycle times for production stations for use in Kaizen projects for example. Cycle times are recorded and reportable down to the individual process steps within an operation. Opportunities to review average operation cycle times can provide invaluable data in the production environment and can be compared to Standardized Work Documentation to gain a clear picture of equipment and operator efficiencies or inefficiencies. Individual station monitors display actual process cycle time and target TAKT time to increase operator awareness. The ProductionWare reporting engine, Information Manager, is often utilized during Kaizen events to compare results of time studies to actual cycle time performance over a period of time. |
